I attended a funeral this morning for a relative in my extended family that died unexpectedly at the age of 33.
I listened to her uncle share stories from her childhood. These words he shared were of happy stories, funny moments, and special memories that only a close family member would know and remember.
Her life was cut short, but the importance of the imprint she left on the lives that she touched was not insignificant. It made me think about the influence we all have on each other and the lives around us even when we do not realize it, as it can even be in a microscopic manner.
We all have moments where we feel small, unimportant, and perhaps useless even. Today was a reminder that our presence in life, whatever the length, whatever the position, is absolutely vital to those around us.
How would you like to be remembered? What do you hope to be remembered for? Be kind with your words, gentle in your actions, and vigilant in your thoughts. I would love to hear your thoughts, please comment below.
